AMERICA, PHILIPPINES AND CHINA

[November 12, 2012 at 11:50am]

No matter what the final result turned out to be, the American voters I think seemed to be torn between the devil and the deep blue sea. Just dunno which is which between the two, as both could be a clear and present danger judging their stand on every issue.

That makes me terribly missing more the U.S.A. envisioned and molded by Abe Lincoln. When he made every policy, law, and rule, he considered God first, country second. In each of his life’s sunrise, in his every nightfall, the first thing to open and the last to close would always be his Bible.

Look at the so-called United States of America today, look what happened when freedom is abused by its citizenry. Only in that land can you find the most ridiculous. Only in its policy can you adhere with the most preposterous. But so far all roads still lead to Washington. That is until Beijing provides a better relocation.

But sooner or later I expect with no iota of doubt or reservation it'll definitely happen. All indications now attest to my childhood’s popular phrase, “In the end, China will win.” And you don’t have to look farther just to see it with your own eyes, how the Chinese people rule the world around them with their cunning in merchandise.

I can only dream of the day I’d finally see Iznart’s Chinatown totally parked-car-free. And I wish there’ll be also a Chinaman’s chance for a Filipino someday when it’d be his turn again to be an employer of an arrogant Chinese right here in our country.

But the Chinese and the Filipinos are worlds apart, in culture, in tradition, in mind, and in heart. While we are peerless in making friends and not enemy, the Chinese are matchless in the art of recognizing an opportunity.

Consider the following: The moment a Filipino and a Chinese both graduated and earned a college degree, the Filipino would ask himself where to employ while the Chinese ask himself when to put up his own company.

When a Filipino and a Chinese survived a sunken ship and found themselves to be the only survivors in a floating life raft at sea, the Filipino would drink his own urine to survive another day, while the Chinese would sell his own to the Filipino with a “No Return-No Exchange” policy.
