IMPOSSIBLE

[Memories on December 3, 2015 at 4:16pm]
I confess, upon reading the news for the first time, I read it again in full.  A-what? Almost all the man’s wealth would he just give away? Impossible!

If by this time, the rich man Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook’s co-founder, has given indeed 99% of his shares from his company to help, by using the money to heal the world for Maxima his daughter, then he restored some people’s hope for a human heart and humanity itself.

It’s mind-boggling, considering that a man by nature is born with greed in his soul. God truly works in mysterious ways and only He can change a man’s heart in full.

Ahh, all I can say is, this Zuckerberg’s a sucker for kindness. Unlike our own taipans here, Mark’s a true-blue philanthropist.

Imagine what a 450 billion dollars—with a strong emphasis on billion, and dollars too—could do when even a decimal of it reaches guys like me and you? How blessed would be his recipient, as it would be felt like a fulfillment of my boyhood dream to receive for free from Henry Sy even a single shoe.

What Mark has said is true, “All lives have the same value.” Every individual is equal, whether you’re a street snatcher or him who loves to kidnap, or just a mere taxpayer or a politician sucking taxpayers’ blood and guts. Your life is as precious as everyone’s to God, He Who “maketh the sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust” (Matt. 5:45 KJV)

Whoever we are, we’re all given the chance to turn to righteousness: one that cannot be gained by our own efforts but simply by faith (Rom. 4:3; Gal. 3:6; Heb. 10:38).

This fact tormented the rich man during Jesus’ time when he ran to Him one day, kneeled, and asked Him immediately what to do to inherit a life forever. This despite that from his youth up he did not commit adultery, did not steal, did not bear false witness, did not defraud, and he honored his father and mother (Mark 10:17-20).

The rich man grieved when Jesus said, “One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me” (v.21). If you’re a man of great possessions and hearing these, your mind will be surely blown away, and would astonish at His doctrine like the disciples themselves did and asked Him, who then can be saved anyway? (v. 26).

And Jesus’ answered them once and for all: “. . . with God all things are possible” (v. 27).
